Cape Town and Garden Route Holiday Special

I am offering 4, ten day Cape, Garden Route Combo family specials to commence on the following dates:
Saturday 19th July, Wednesday the 30th July, Saturday 10th August and Tuesday 21 August.

The tours will encompass the best of the Cape and Garden Route and include a Safari! I have also included activities which I know the children will enjoy. I have provided pricing below based on a family of 4 – mom, dad and two sharing children under 12. Some days may be switched to accommodate better weather.

I have assumed arrival in the early morning on SAA or BA and an evening departure flight. All accommodation is in three or 4 star Guest Houses or Hotels in well appointed areas.



Day Accommodation Activities
Day 1 Guest House near Cape Town I will collect you from the Airport and give you a half day City Tour and an opportunity to ascend the Cable Car to the top of Table Mountain. (As this is very weather dependant, I have not included this in the price). You will be given an over view of the City Highlights like the Bo Kaap, the Castle the Company Gardens and the V&A Waterfront before being dropped off at the Guest House to unpack and rest after your flight.
Day 2 Depart ±09h00 Guest House Near Cape Town Today we will enjoy the scenery of the beautiful Peninsula. You will have the option of visiting the Seals just off Hout Bay by boat, and will marvel at the beautiful views from the famous Chapman’s Peak drive. Other highlights of the day will be Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, The Penguins at Boulders and if time permits, the Gem World.
Day 3 Depart ±09h00 Guest House near Cape Town Enjoy a good breakfast to line the tum before I collect you and take you on a lovely Winelands Tour of Stellenbosch and Paarl. You will be treated to a Cellar tour and at least three wine tastings - The kids will enjoy a visit to a crocodile farm.
Day 4 Depart ± 09h00 Guest House on the Beach at Mossel Bay We will take a leisurely and scenic drive to Mosselbay, stopping en route to admire the views and have lunch, probably in the scenic town of Swellendam…getting there in good time to either have a swim as the Guest house is right on the beach or see the Post office Tree and other sights in Mossel Bay
Day 5 Depart ± 09h30 Guest House Knyna After breaky we head for Botlierskop where you will experience a really good Game drive. We will then take a leisurely and very scenic drive through the Lake district and arrive in Knysna in time to see the Knysna Heads
Day 6 Depart ±09h00 Guest House Knysna Today I suggest a boat trip across the Lagoon to Featherbed Bay where you will be taken up to the top of the hill/cliff on a tractor drawn trailer and be given the opportunity to walk down which will give you the most incredible views. You will be treated to a very lovely lunch before been taken back across the Lagoon.
Day 7 Depart ± 09h00 Guest House Knysna Today we head west and you will have the option of doing one or more of the following activities.
  • Touch an elephant (and ride one too if you are keen)
  • Do a Canopy Glide
  • Visit spots like Plettenberg Bay and Storms River Mouth
  • Visit Monkey Land
Day 8 Depart ± 09h00 Guest House Oudtshoorn Today we head for Oudtshoorn along the beautiful Mountain pass and visit:
  • The Cango Caves
  • The Cango Wild life Ranch Where you can stroke a Cheetah
Day 9 Depart ± 10h00 Guest House Montague We head for Montagu, after visiting an Ostrich Farm which is a good place to break the fairly long journey, stopping along the way to taste a bit of wine, have a bit of lunch and generally enjoy the ride. The kids may enjoy a swim in the Mineral baths in Montague along the way. (Optional)
Day 10   A leisurely drive towards Cape Town stopping along the way at points of interest and savouring the products of the areas we pass along the way like Olives, wine and sparkling wine. Perhaps you can book into the premier lounge to freshen up before you board the plane home.

Costs

The cost of for the above itinerary is R11 500 per person sharing and includes:

  • Snack and drinks on board the vehicle
  • Registered guide and air-conditioned Microbus for all days as specified
  • Feather Bed Bay Experience and Safari at Bottlierskop.
  • Bed and breakfast accommodation for 9 nights.
  • Lunch on Featherbed Bay
  • All entrance fees specified as not being optional
The cost excludes
  • Lunches and dinners except for the lunch on Featherbed Bay and dinner at the Guest House in Oudtshoorn
  • Optional activities like the Seal Island trip, canopy Gliding, Elephant Park, Storms River pass, swim at Montagu and Monkey Land

This quote is subject to changes in the price of fuel, entrance fees and accommodation prices and availability of the Accommodation providers on whom this quote is based.
It is also subject to a family of 4 sharing 2 rooms and the Children being under the age of twelve I am more than happy to adapt the pricing to larger families or older children.
