The day would commence with a ±45 minute drive to Buffelsfontein. We would probably have a coffee before boarding the 4X4 and heading off on our 2 to 3 hour game drive. The game ranger is very informative and quite amusing and goes out of his way to make sure you find those elusive animals. The highlight of the game drive is the Cheetah encounter which is unlike any other cheetah encounter! Game you are likely to see includes Lion, Cheetah, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Kudu, Eland, Oryx (Gemsbok), Bontebok, and Springbok.

After the Game drive we have a couple of options…Depending on the Season August and September) we could visit the West Coast National Park and view the amazing display of flowers and animals. We would have lunch at Geelbeck Restaurant and take the opportunity of viewing the birds from their bird hides.

Alternatively we could visit !Kwattu which is a Celebration of the San Culture where you will learn all about the San beliefs, language, hunting techniques and Life style. They also have a great restaurant where we could have lunch.

The other option would be to visit the West Coast Ostrich Farm where you will enjoy a very interesting and informative tour and be given the opportunity of sitting on an Ostrich!

Time permitting we can squeeze in some wine tasting at own of the wine farms in the area or a wander and perhaps a cup of tea or coffee in the very quaint village of Phillidelphia. A truly lovely day!
