The day commences with a Scenic drive to Hout Bay via the spectacular Clifton Beach and vibey Camps Bay (maybe you can spot a celeb or two at one of their side walk cafes!) At Hout Bay Harbour, which is a quaint fishing village, you have the option to board a boat and view the Cape Fur Seals on Duiker Island. Should you not choose this option you could visit Kirstenbosch Gardens, On the other hand you may wish to spend time at Groot Constantia soaking up the lovely views, wine and fascinating history.
Chapman’s Peak drive is not to be missed, which ever way you do it is absolutely magnificent. No Cape Peninsular Tour is complete with out a visit to the Cape of Good Hope (Africa's most South Westerly tip) after briefly popping into an Ostrich farm. At Cape Point you have the option of taking the Funicular to the Light House. We then drive along False bay and visit the Penguins at Boulders Beach.
One of the very popular stops is at Jubilee Square in Simon’s Town looking out at the South African Naval base and the yachts moored at the Yacht club. Here you will heae all about a wily old sea dog called ‘Just Nuisance”
Time permitting we can pop in to Gem World in Simon's Town where we see how semi precious stones are processed from their raw state to beautiful jewelry and ornaments. At certain times (August to November) you may be lucky enough to spot a whale or two. This day tour truly highlights the Splendours of the Cape Peninsula. The Whole family will just love it!
There are all sorts of lunch options which will be discussed with you before departure or en route. You can enjoy a lovely seafood meal at one of the coastal restaurants or have an impromptu picnic of the best fish & Chips in the Cape from Kalkies at Kalk Bay. Other alternatives to slot in on this day depending on your interests would be one or two of the beautiful Wine Farms in the Constantia Wine Growing Valley and a ‘Sea Taxi” ride from Simon's Town to Kalk bay with a very interesting local skipper and a view of the Coast line which is unforgettable!
